Transport Operations (Road Use Management—Road Rules) Regulation 2009

The helmet regulations are set directly in part 16 of the Road Rules Act, Rule 270

approved motorbike helmet means a helmet that complies with—
(a)
AS 1698–1988; or
(b)
another standard the chief executive considers is at least equal to that standard.

 

There are no known gazetted regulations under the discretion of the chief executive allowing other standards.
