This instrument is the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Approval of Protective Helmets for Motorbike Riders Determination 2009 (No 1).

Instrument No 91 of 2000 (as notified on the ACT Government Legislation Register) is revoked.

I determine that the following kinds of protective helmets for motorbike riders are approved by the Road Transport Authority as approved motorbike helmets:

1.

A protective helmet that has applied to it the certification trade mark of which the Standards Association of Australia is the registered proprietor under the Trade Marks Act 1955 of the Commonwealth together with the letter and figures “E33”;

2.

A protective helmet that has applied to it the certification trade mark of which the Standards Association of Australia is the registered proprietor under the Trade Marks Act 1955 of the Commonwealth together with the letter and figures “E43”;

3.

A protective helmet that has applied to it the certification trade mark of which the Standards Association of Australia is the registered proprietor under the Trade Marks Act 1955 of the Commonwealth together with the figures “1698”;

4.

A protective helmet that has applied to it the letters and figures “AS E33” or the letters and figures “AS E43”.

This instrument commences the day after notification.
